Mountain Restaurants

There are of course several dozen mountain restaurants in the Three Valleys – see the entries for Courchevel, Les Menuires, Meribel and Val Thorens for more suggestions.

Two of the closest to La Tania are Le Bouc Blanc (+33 (0)4 79 08 80 26) and Le Roc Tania (+33 (0)4 79 08 32 34; restaurants3vallees.com).
The Bouc Blanc is at the top of the La Tania gondola making it accessible to any non-skiers in your party. It’s a pleasant wood clad building with a mixed menu and a large terrace.

Le Roc is a little further as you need to take the Dou des Lanches lift after the gondola. It also has a great menu of mountain favourites, a large sun terrace and spectacular 360 degree views.

Grocery Shops

There’s limited food shopping in La Tania so ideally you should arrive with much of your grocery requirements with you. However there is a good boulangerie (Immeuble Les Folyères; +33 (0)4 79 22 51 15) and a nice little general food store (La Saucisse Savoyarde (Immeuble Le Kalinka; +33 (0)4 79 08 07 95; lasaucissesavoyarde.com) that can supply the fresh produce you need. As well as a good stock of cheese, wine and Savoyard products it even proudly retails British food including HP sauce, Heinz Baked Beans, PG Tips, Marmite, Walkers crisps and even British bacon! La Saucisse Savoyarde also has a daily-changing menu of meals to take out and a good ready-made pizza menu.
