The purpose built resort of Les Menuires is located just below Val Thorens in the Belleville valley. Its prime location gives lift-linked access to the world’s largest ski area the Three Valleys, and consequently Les Menuires enjoys regular transfers from the alpine airports, and easy rail access from the nearby station at Moutiers. The most convenient airports for travel to Les Menuires are Geneva, Chambery and Lyon.

Chambéry Airport - 100 km / approx 1 hours 25 mins
Altibus run regular coach transfers.
Car hire is also possible.
Geneva Airport - 190 km / approx 2 hours 15 mins

As always there is the option of either car hire or private transfers with Ski Lifts.
Lyon Airport - 190 km / approx 2 hours 15 mins
It is possible to arrange a private transfer with Ski Lifts or rent a car.
There are also regular buses scheduled from Lyon to Les Menuires with Altibus.
Grenoble Airport - 175 km / approx 2 hours 15 mins
Grenoble is probably the least convenient airport for Les Menuires.
A private transfer or car rental is probably your best bet from Grenoble.
However, if your flight is on Saturday or Sunday, there are coaches that run between the airport and Moutiers which are operated by Ben's Bus.

If you require a hire car for your ski holiday, there are a number of fantastic car rental companies based in Europe.
By Train
Travelling by train is no doubt a viable alternative to flying, with the Eurostar operated Snow Train arriving into Moutiers twice a day on Saturdays. The overnight service departs from London every Friday night, arriving first thing the following morning. This means that you can get skiing for a half day on the Saturday, which is usually the quietest day of the week on the mountain.
For those who prefer to sleep in their own bed, there is a day time train which leaves London early on Saturday morning, and arrives into Moutiers later that afternoon. Tickets can be booked from Eurostar.
If you would prefer to travel during the week, there are daily services from London to Moutiers. This is slightly more hassle with a necessary change of train station from Paris Gare du Nord to Paris Gare Austerlitz where you can catch the domestic TGV down to Moutiers later that afternoon. Self-Drive
As you would expect the journey time to the Alps is considerable, between 7 and 10 hours from Calais. However, if you don’t mind spending a bit of time behind the wheel the drive is perfectly doable. Make sure you remember snow chains especially if you are going in the height of the winter, and keep an eye on the weather forecast.
