Located right on the slopes and accessible to the shopping centre by a covered walkway, L'Altineige has a very convenient location for a self catering ski holiday in Val Thorens. Guests have access to the internet and covered parking (both payable locally).

This compact and modern studio apartment is approximately 20m² and contains a sleeping corner with bunk beds, and a living room with a pull out double bed. There is a bathroom and WC, and a kitchenette with microwave, hot plate, fridge, and dishwasher.

This 1 bedroom apartment is approximately 30-40m². There are two types of bedding arrangements: the first type consists of a bedroom with single beds and a living area with a double pull out bed and bunk beds.

The alternative apartment layout consists of a sleeping corner with a single bed, a Mezzanine with 3 single beds, and a living area with a double pull out bed.

All of the 1 bedroom apartments contain a bathroom with WC, and kitchenette with microwave, fridge, hot plates and dishwasher.

  • Pretty standard room and not bad for the price. We were three people in a four sleeping room which was fine. Would have been a bit tight sleeping four. Clean and secure room with good location. One minute walk from the Gare Routiere, Place des Arolles which is where most transfers drop you off. No kettle or toaster in the room but can get from reception, didn't find this out till last day so not sure if you have to pay. Rear exist from the basement locker room takes you to board in board out run down to main lifts. Lifts were good and if you go to the third floor you can use covered walkway to the bottom of the shops and Spar Supermarket. You get a two ring hob and a microwave, dishwasher and fridge in the room. Bathroom was modern and looked as if it had been recently refurbished. It takes about twenty minutes to walk up to the main bar areas if you use the walkways and lifts. Check the room contents itinerary on arrival and report any missing items as when you check out then will look for anything missing or broken. Room had balcony. All in all I was very happy with the room and would book the location again.

Résidence L'Altineige is situated in Val Thorens, the highest ski resort in Europe. The residence is literally metres away from excellent shopping facilities and lies right at the foot of the ski slopes.

Directions

If you are travelling by car take the A 43 motorway to Albertville, then the RN90 to Moûtiers and finally take the main road to Val Thorens.
